„Because peace is not for granted" - under this motto, on Friday, November 11th, 2022, at 11 o'clock and 11 minutes, members of the Special Operations Forces lined up for the start of the 5.2-kilometer long "Run in honor of war veterans". The whole pack of competitors was started with a shot by a retired Lieutenant Branislav Tvarožek - soon a 100-year-old war veteran who joined the Slovak National Uprising as a young man.

     Together with more than 250 competitors, our members honored both the World War II veterans as well as the modern-conflicts veterans. They also remembered deceased colleagues and friends Captain in memoriam Edmund Makovník and Sergeant First Class in memoriam Patrik Fraštia.

     In a wide field of competitors and strong competition, red berets took 3rd place in the category of female soldier with equipment and 4th place in the category of male soldier with equipment.
